How it works

Choose DIY or GJM-built — Tell us about your guitar, current electronics and the sound you want. Choose a DIY plan, a GJM-built pre-wired assembly or installation in your guitar.
Confirm fit and parts — We review photos, measurements, mounting pattern, pickup spacing and controls before recommending specific parts. Delivery and installation details are agreed before ordering.
You source the parts — Buy the agreed parts from the store of your choice. GJM never marks up parts — you pay for the bench work only.
Build at home — or leave it to GJM — Follow your DIY plan, receive a hand-wired, bench-tested assembly, or have the electronics installed in your guitar. A tested assembly still needs installation; fit is specific to your instrument.

Parts, shipping & fit

Already booked a consultation? The $49 fee is credited toward a Full Tone Transformation.
The Full Tone Transformation covers one guitar. Routing, refinishing or other woodwork is quoted separately before work begins.
You purchase the parts on your plan; parts are never marked up.
For mail-in work, shipping costs and responsibility for damaged, incorrect or defective parts are agreed before ordering.
Every pre-wired assembly is fit-checked to your instrument; installation in your guitar is separate.
