What every setup looks at
  • Playability setup — Action, neck relief and pickup height adjusted for how you play.
  • Intonation — Saddles adjusted so your guitar stays in tune all the way up the neck.
  • String change & cleaning — Fresh strings, a cleaned and conditioned instrument, hardware checked.
  • Electronics maintenance — Scratchy pots, loose jacks and noisy switches cleaned, tightened or replaced.

Questions

Do I provide my own strings?

Bring your favorite set, or we can supply a standard gauge at cost.

Where do drop-offs take place?

Drop-off and pickup are by appointment only in Southern Connecticut, USA. Once your request is confirmed, you’ll receive the workshop address, directions and a set hand-off time.

When and how do I pay?

Payment is due at pickup, once you’ve played the guitar and are happy with the work. We accept cash, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay & Google Pay.

Do you work on Floyd Rose and locking tremolos?

Yes. Floyd Rose and other floating or locking tremolos are welcome. Just mention it when you request your setup.

Do you work on basses and acoustic guitars?

Yes. Setups are available for 4- and 5-string electric basses and acoustic guitars as well as electrics.
